Administrative Officer (AUDE) - 0.8 fte to full time

We are looking for an Administrative Officer to join our small team and perform a crucial business support role. We are looking for candidates who can work anywhere between 0.8 fte and full-time.

The successful candidate will become an essential part of the AUDE team, providing administrative support to other team members. Working closely with colleagues, you’ll need to work efficiently and with attention to detail, display excellent customer service skills, and relate well to members. You will provide the administrative support that underpins all activities of the association, including helping organise meetings and events, managing our member database, updating the website, and undertaking other support tasks as required. We encourage candidates who wish to grow in the role, and who will be willing to take on more responsibility as skills are demonstrated.

The post-holder reports to the AUDE Executive Director and has no line management responsibilities. This role can either be based in Loughborough or work flexibly or from home in the UK. Work will include occasional travel to Loughborough for team meetings and some overnight stays to support our larger events.

Professional HE Services (PHES) is an umbrella company for membership organisations in the UK Higher Education sector. PHES is the corporate “parent” to seven Special Interest Organisations (SIOs), and between them, these organisations support UK university staff who work in the areas of estates, facilities management, legal, internal audit, commercial and campus services, finance, procurement, strategic planning, and HR.

We will offer a competitive salary between £22,681 - £26,444 pro-rata pa, dependent on qualifications and experience. A defined contribution pension scheme is offered with 7.5% employee and 16% employer contribution rates, together with life insurance. We offer 30 days’ holiday (pro rata) plus bank holidays and discretionary days’ office closure. Support for CPD and appropriate training will be given.

Administrative Officer (Membership) - 0.8 fte

We are looking for an Administrative Officer to join our team and perform a crucial business support role for two of our associations – the Association of University Legal Practitioners (AULP) and the Council for Higher Education Internal Audit (CHEIA).

Professional HE Services (PHES) is an umbrella company for membership organisations in the UK Higher Education sector. PHES is the corporate “parent” to seven Special Interest Organisations (SIOs), and between them, these organisations support UK university staff who work in the areas of estates, facilities management, legal, internal audit, commercial and campus services, finance, procurement, strategic planning, and HR.

We are looking for candidates who can work 0.8 fte, but there will be 2-3 weeks a year where we need the candidate to work full time, to support our 2 main conferences. Time off in lieu will be given.

The successful candidate will become an essential part of the team, providing administrative support to the AULP and CHEIA executive committees. Working closely with colleagues, you’ll need to work efficiently and with attention to detail, display excellent customer service skills, and relate well to members. You will help organise and run events, manage the database and update the website, and undertake other support tasks as required. We encourage candidates who wish to grow in the role, and who will be willing to take on more responsibility as skills are demonstrated.

The post-holder reports to the PHES Managing Director and has no line management responsibilities. This role will be home-based in the UK and include some UK travel and occasional overnight stays around key meetings and conferences.

Projects and Engagement Officer (AUDE) - 0.8 fte to full time

We are looking for a Projects and Engagement Officer to join our small team and perform a crucial business support role. We are looking for candidates who can work anywhere between 0.8 fte and full-time.

The successful candidate will become an essential part of the AUDE team, supporting other team members and our portfolio of projects, focusing on how to create an outstanding member experience through engagement. Working closely with colleagues (particularly the Projects and Engagement Manager), you’ll need to work efficiently and with attention to detail, display excellent project management skills, and relate well to members. You will support the Projects and Engagement Manager to ensure our projects are delivered on time and on budget.

Most importantly you will keep our member experience at the forefront of all you do, focusing on the value of membership. You will take on management of our membership database, update and improve the website content and layout, and undertake other support tasks as required (training on website and database systems will be given). We encourage candidates who wish to grow in the role, and who will be willing to take on more responsibility as skills are demonstrated.
